This is a religious holiday that is named after the renowned St. Patrick of Irish origin. Initially this day was celebrated as the Catholic Holiday but gradual secular formation made it come under the integral part of Irish culture. On this day, there is a public holiday in countries like Ireland, Labrador, Newfoundland and Montserrat. Different sports events are also organized along with parade shows. It is celebrated with immense joy with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games and many other similar activities.
